90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 34

Day 34: What are some negative impacts you feel distance has made on your relationship?

Cat: I really feel like this LDR has had more of a positive impact on our relationship more so than a negative impact. We loved living together, but we lived with each other while we were both doing our master’s. It was pretty stressful, and towards the end, things got tough… But we made it through the storm, and while being in a LDR sounds like the thing that would really tear us apart, it really brought us closer together and made us stronger as individuals and as a couple. I think it has given us clarity in a way we had not yet. Babe?

Richard: Yeah, exactly what you said, babe. I can only say that it’s difficult when I really need a cuddle, but I know we’re strong as ever. 🙂

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 30

Day 30: If you two could go anywhere in the world together where would it be and why?

Cat: Somewhere tropical!! That’s why I reblog a lot of pictures of the beach or tropical getaways on here. A week or two somewhere tropical in a gorgeous resort with Richard sounds like heaven to me.

Richard: We keep talking about going Bora Bora for our honeymoon or for an expensive holiday.

Cat: I love how those are essentially the same thing, ha!

Richard: You know what I mean, nummins… It looks so serene there and somewhere to get away from the world and totally relax. Otherwise, I’d love to go travelling in France together and go to the mecca of French culture: Disney Land Paris ;D

Cat: Ladies and gentlemen, the love of my life…

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 29

Day 29: Do you remember what you were both wearing the first time you video chatted (or saw each other)?

(Note: We decided to answer this question without knowing what the other person answered just to see what we would come up with on our own…)

Cat: Okay, the first time we met I was wearing jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, brown booties and a burgundy leather jacket. I’m think Richard was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt, and a grey jacket?

Richard: We didn’t actually video chat before we met (I was shy.), but I believe I was wearing jeans, a leather jacket and a shirt. And Cat was wearing a maroon leather jacket and dark red pants(?).

Okay so it wasn’t a slam dunk, BUT we still sorta remember after almost 3 years, haha!

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 28

Day 28: Describe the look of your dream apartment/house together!

Richard: I really like modern designs, but Cat tends to like places with a bit more character. So, probably something like a town house in Georgetown (like House of Cards) but modern features inside.

Cat: Sounds perfect to me. 🙂

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 27

Day 27: How long was the longest time you’ve ever not been in contact for? Why did that happen?

Cat: I think the longest we have ever been disconnected from each other has been a matter of hours… I know there are couples in LDRs out there that can’t talk to their SOs for days or even weeks, maybe even a month or so at a time! So, I’m definitely not complaining.

Richard: Ermmm, I’m not sure actually. It might have been about a day or so after Cat left DC for Manchester. But we’ve always managed to stay in touch one way or another 🙂

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 25

Day 25: What is something he/she does to purposely annoy you (regardless that it makes you smile)?

Cat: Oh, my God… Where do I begin!? I feel like I could list a whole bunch of things, and he would probably write some sort of rebuttal about how he doesn’t do it purposely to annoy me but rather because he’s just showing me his love… Sometimes, being in a committed relationship with a guy who majored in law got me feeling like:

90 Day LDR Challenge: Day 23

Day 23: What is your favorite memory together?

Cat: One of my favorite memories with Richard is going to the Christmas market for the first time with him in Manchester. I had never been to a Christmas market before, and I felt like our relationship was really blossoming into something quite serious at that point. It was a really special Christmas. 🙂

Richard: Hmmm, that’s a difficult one. I think the first time we visited London together and stayed in Grosvenor House on Park Lane. We had a really nice time and personally made me realise that me and Cat are in it for the long haul and a good life was on the horizon.
