Is that a thing?
I feel like it might be… Help me out friends!
Richard calls this the “statement of intent” ring. Not to be confused with an actual engagement ring!
Don’t worry, guys. π
Lots of love xx
Wednesday- Write a poem to your significant other.
A Tribute to Our Sundays
Sleep in, no worries
Time stops in your arms, in bed
Let’s stay in today
(Trying to do some major catch up here…)
Friday- What are your favorite things to talk about? Do you talk on a regular basis?
We talk everyday. π Our favorite things to talk about are how our days were and how we envision our future. Richard wakes up before me because of the five-hour time difference, and he usually texts me before he goes to work. His morning texts really start my day off on the right note! We always say good night to each other as well, even though it is totally not good night for me, haha. But from the moment we first talked to each other, we have always said good night to each other. It’s one of our golden rules. π
Wednesday- What role does music play in your relationship? Do you feel like it brings you together? What are some things you both do together that involve music?
At the beginning of our relationship, we used music to share feelings we were a bit too scared to voice ourselves. One time, we spent the whole night playing music to each other. We each took turns choosing songs that expressed how we felt about each other. When Richard played me Travis’ “Flowers in the Window,” I knew we were something special.
As our relationship grew, listening to music became something we both liked to do when we were hanging out after dinner or doing chores around our flat/apartment. Music has definitely played a part in bringing us together, especially when we reminisce about our time together. We often listen to a song on our way to work or on our drives here and there, and it brings back a beautiful memory and of course, we have to text each other! Music is something that we really treasure. π
Richard: As I said, don’t feel embarrassed. I’d rather you tell me how you feel and us work through it rather than hiding something and deal with it when it’s past the point of no return… Never feel sorry for what you’re feeling.
Today there are couples around the world that are meeting for the first time, visiting each other, or closing the distance for good.
Here’s to you guys.
We don’t know your names.
We don’t know your faces.
But to be reunited with your great love is an incomparable moment, and we are happy for all of you.
Cheers!

Dear LDR Community,
My boyfriend and I have only just recently started our LDR blog – literally a few days ago – but in those very few days, I’ve been privileged to see so many beautiful, strong, loving couples fight the distance for their loves.
What strikes me the most about this community is that, unlike so many other forces in this world these days, this community has founded itself on the purest, deepest feeling of them all: love. And that love they have for someone else hundreds or thousands of miles away breeds so many incredible things:
immeasurable strength to get through lonely days and nights;
incredible empathy for others who are fighting the same tough fight;
intense joy for those who are on the brink of closing the distance for a few days or for good;
and infinitely growing hearts that have the capacity not only to love their soulmates but complete strangers who are brave enough to reach out to members of this community for support.
I go through countless LDR tags on Tumblr, and I know this much is true:
This community is one of the strongest, bravest, most loving communities I have ever come across on here.
Here’s to you, LDR community. Thank you for your love and your support. Know that you will find a safe haven on this blog for your heart, whatever condition it’s in, whatever color of the rainbow it is. Richard and I are here for you in the same way we feel you are there for us.
Love,
Cat
Richard: And September isn’t far away. We’re doing this im stages so by having something to look forward to we don’t go nuts! I am sleeping now but I love you forever amd can’t wait to begin a life with you π Love you lots xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I’m in Manchester!
I lived in this city for a year, and I have so many amazing memories from my experience here. So, I decided to visit it for the next few days.
After I arrived, I went to lunch at The Alto Bar at The Raddison Blu. At The Alto Bar, you choose from either a steak or a lobster.
I chose the lobster. It’s my favorite! The lobster came with unlimited fries and a salad. As you can see, I clearly loved the salad! The salad was so amazing that I had to have seconds. It was mixed leaves, croutons, sunflower seeds, a sprinkle of Parmesan and a light house dressing. Just writing about it again makes me want to have thirds!
Then, I walked all around town. It was so nice to see that some of my old favorite places are still around, but it was also good to see new places that have been built over the last couple years. I didn’t take too many pictures because I was soaking it all in.
For dinner, I went to The Font. During my first week here, a guy asked me out for dinner and drinks at this place.

It turned out not to be a one date fluke. So here we are, recreating our first date, toasting to the past 2 years and the future.
We’re also toasting to you guys! Thank you so much for the follows and likes in the first few weeks of my blog. Thank you for allowing me to share a slice or two of my life with you.
Cheers!
Lots of love,
For those of us who didn’t catch the Grammys last night or for those of you who just want to rewatch one of the most touching Grammy performances, here’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ Grammy performance.
No words can describe how beautiful it was to see couples of all ages, sexual orientations, and races take what I think is one of the biggest steps in life at the Grammys with ‘Same Love’ and ‘Open Your Heart to Me’ performed live. Amazing.
